DAY WITH THE DUCHESS
“I can talk about Belvoir all day long but there is nothing to compare with the spine-tingling magic of experiencing the place for yourself. So, I’ve decided to set up a number of ‘Duchess Days’ – when, if you join me, you will be my personal guest for a behind the scenes tour of just about all there is to see: the Castle’s State Rooms including the glorious Regent’s Gallery and Elizabeth Saloon (both inspired by Versailles), the Ballroom, the Old Kitchen and Armory and of course the magnificent gardens, and a ‘tour on wheels’ of Capability Brown’s extensive park. Woven into all this, I can promise you a delicious lunch, during which we can talk about the nuts and bolts of living in England’s most romantic and most impractical castle.”
